Quotables: People Didn't Even Like LeAnn Rimes in Middle School, If You Can Believe It

"I was bullied when I was a kid -- when I was in junior high. A lot of girls can get real mean during the sixth grade year. I used to perform around Dallas and Texas where I lived, a lot. My principal would put something on the bulletin board if I was in the newspaper or something, and there was this clique of girls that did not like it. So, I had my locker egged, I had a girl bring a knife to school the last day of sixth grade and tried to kill me! Awesome. So, I'd say I was bullied a little."

--LeAnn Rimes recounts the exact moment that she became intolerable to the rest of the world.

No, no, that's a rough story. Of course LeAnn got bullied in junior high -- it's junior high. That's what happens, and it's not fun, but it's definitely true. But the knife part, it's just ... don't you think we would have heard about this by now if it were true? Like, wouldn't the attempted murder of LeAnn Rimes be a thing? She released her first album when she was 13, so not long after this knife attack would have taken place, and this is the first we're hearing of it? During an interview that was done after she performed at an anti-bullying benefit?

LeAnn, girl, sorry for your hardships, and sorry for doubting you if you really were almost knifed to death in middle school, but honestly? Maybe try for something a little more believable next time.
