Lady Gaga Released a Song on Purpose This Time, and It's STILL Awful

Sorry, everybody. Sorry if you've been waiting all this time for some huge groundbreaking gift of a song from Lady Gaga. Sorry if you've been crying and jamming to "Born This Way" for months, hoping your weird messiah would soon tell you more ways to feel. Because this is what you get:

If you wanted another anthem, well, you got one. It's just an anthem about how great Lady Gaga is. Just in case you can't bring yourself to listen into it, there are lyrics like "I live for the applause-plause, live for the applause-plause" and "Put your hands up, make 'em touch, touch." Oh, and she puts actual applause in the song. Good for you if you love it, but let's stop pretending that this is art. And that goes for you too, Lady Gaga, Miss "Art's in pop culture in me."

On a totally unrelated note, Katy Perry released a lyric video for her new single, "Roar," today as well! Isn't it weird that Katy's song was always set to be released today, but Gaga released her song today too, even though it was supposed to drop next Monday, because of "leaks"? Anyway, here's Katy's video:

Oh, Katy, you ARE a champion, baby. Thanks for the inspiration. Much applause-plause for you! ... Gaga, sit down.
