Somebody Thought it Was a Good Idea to Introduce Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez

Hey, sit down for a minute and come up with two popular singers that would create an awesome duet. Go ahead, take your time. Really think about it. Be sure to pay attention to things beyond just the actual song too, like performability and adorability and the way this pretend duet could affect the world as we know it. Now, who did you come up with? It probably wasn't Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez, huh? No, because that would be dumb.
But even though it is dumb -- super dumb, if we're being perfectly honest -- it's happening. Taylor and Jennifer got together a couple weeks ago at one of Taylor's shows to do "Jenny from the Block," for some ungodly reason, and now they're getting together again to do a song for Jennifer's next album, which is set to be released next year. Sorry!
It just doesn't make any sense, does it? What do these two have in common, besides an occasional bad attitude and and the remarkable ability to be insanely annoying while still being totally gorgeous? Answer: nothing. There is nothing to explain why they're doing this to us. Nothing besides spite and malice.
Not cool, ladies. Not cool at all.
