Well, At Least You're Pretty, Katy Perry

Listen, you need to know that no matter what, Katy Perry is adorable and talented and just so incredibly lovable. She's smart enough to be one of the most successful pop stars ever, and she's smart enough to ditch John Mayer. But, bless her amazing little heart, she just can't figure out what feminism is.

If you'll remember, here's Katy's old stance on being a feminist:

“I am not a feminist, but I do believe in the strength of women.”

That doesn't really make sense, now does it? She might as well have said "I am not a feminist, but I do believe that women should have equal rights." But for some reason, lady celebrities are just so hesitant to call themselves feminists, like it's some big, bad, evil thing to be. Hint: it's not.

But Katy has changed her views, everybody, and now she is totally, for sure, 100% a feminist:

"I used to not really understand what that word meant but now that I do, it just means that I love myself as a female and I also love men. I am woman… Hear me roar!"

OK, honey. Sure. Good for you. Congratulations.
