"I was being pulled out of school even in the middle of school and sometimes being homeschooled. Sometimes we were sent to these really half-Christian, half-education, I-don't-know-what-they-were schools. I'm kind of bummed at this stage that I didn't have a great education because I could really use that these days. I've learned to educate myself at this stage and how to continue my education at any age. I'm going on 30 and I'm still very thirsty for information. On tour, we go to different museums and get to soak up all kinds of different cultural experiences."
--Katy Perry discusses her lack of education in an interview to promote "Make Roar Happen," an effort to raise money for teachers. She also makes us love her even more than we already did.
Look, sometimes Katy says things that are a little off, but for the most part, she's just the bee's knees. She's sweet and hilarious and talented, and now we also know that's she's so very thoughtful, too. After all, isn't it always so nice when pop stars take some time to make a difference for other people? Add in the extra niceness that comes from a gorgeous lady telling kids that learning is cool and important, and goodness, we've got just a great big mess of wonderful here, don't we?
