“A schoolteacher would have been very gratifying, I’m sure. There are millions of things you would have loved to have done, a politician, a journalist… I thought of being a journalist once. All these things you think of when you’re a teenager, you can think, well, I would have liked to have done that but that’s completely pointless … But I don’t feel frustrated for a lack of control at all and I’m very pleased with what I’ve done Everyone wants to have done more things in their lives. It is a slightly intellectually undemanding thing to do, being a rock singer, but, you know, you make the best of it.”

--Mick Jagger proves that some people are never content, no matter how much money they make or how insanely famous and beloved they are.

How weird is this though? Crazy old Mick Jagger, that wacky, wacky legend, thinks being a teacher would have been cool, but he'll deal with being one of the biggest rock stars alive? What kind of shenanigans are these? Really, it feels a little like blasphemy to give some sass to this legend, but this is sort of the dumbest thing that anyone's ever said. You don't just sing blessed hits like "Ruby Tuesday" and say "Well, I guess I'll just make the best out of this." Love you, Mick, but that's absolutely ridiculous.

Haha. He HAS to be joking, surely. Teachers don't get nearly as much tail as he has as a rock star.

haha.. Seriously? Make the best of being a Legend in the Rock business?
I couldn't possibly see him teaching a class though.

I can believe that sex and fame (well, maybe not fame itself, but all the crap that comes with it) get old after awhile. And studies have shown that happiness doesn't increase much after the first $75K (but wouldn't we all like to find out?). With money comes just more expenses and more trappings. Plus, he went to the London School of Economics, no? He's not a dummy. Can you imagine how routine it would get to have to sing the same songs over and over every night? Not that one shouldn't be grateful, but it's not all roses, either, I'm sure.
