Katy Perry
has a new album coming out in October, how exciting is that? Do you guys love Katy Perry? Because she's amazing. It's neat to know that no matter how much whipped cream she shoots out of her boobs, she's actually talented and sweet and down to earth. So when the new album, "Prism," drops in just 13 short weeks, yours truly is going to be first in line. Probably crying. She's so amazing.

Anyway, what do you think the new album is going to sound like? It's been a good long while since we've gotten any new music from Katy, and even longer since we've been given the gift of an entire album, so really, anything could happen. Here's a cute little comment that Katy made when asked about the style of the album:

"It's gonna be three years later, how about that? Pick up where we left off."

Her last album, "Teenage Dream," was pretty great, so that would probably be all right, but wouldn't it be fun if she got back to her roots? Not all the Christian stuff, necessarily, but the acoustic guitar, "just sittin' here singing 'bout my feelings" stuff. And since, as far as we know, she's still dating icky gross John Mayer, that might be a possibility. But is John Mayer actually going to be on her album?

"He is not, actually. But thank you for asking."

Well, thank goodness for that, at least.

How are you guys feeling? Are you psyched about the new album? Are you in love with Katy, too? Let's talk about it. Let's get it all out there.
