“I get further away every day. I am so over it. For me, it’s not a happy place to be.”

--Stephenie Meyer on moving far, far away from the "Twilight" franchise, because apparently, making all of that money and, you know, a name for herself was a very painful thing to have to do. Kind of like bloodletting, one might think. ... No pun intended by any of that, just like there was no pun intended when Stephenie said she was over the books and films that made her famous.

Stephenie, how about just shutting up and standing in awe of the monster you created, huh? Let's just do that for a second instead.

Twilight, Really?

What a steaming pile of dog-shit.

You gotta respect the commercial success, but Bella's character is an abomination as a female role model.

The whole conflict could have been solved by a 12" vibrator and a box of batteries

Authors are a different breed than those in the movie industry. They are very protective of their work, and I understand where she is coming from. Twilight was a teenage napalm, glitter vampires and "team anything" were seen EVERYWHERE. And if you know anything about royalties, shes only seeing a fraction. She sold her rights to make the movie, so in retrospect I doubt shes getting as much as the movie peeps are.
