Everybody, Quick, Lady Gaga Needs Attention!
As you all know, this is supposed to be the grand week of Lady Gaga. She released her new single, "Applause," she released the lyric video, too, she's been doing interviews upon interviews: she's back. It's kind of a big deal. But apparently you guys aren't making this as big a deal as it needs to be, because Gaga felt the need to tweet this little story out of the blue:
Now let's just be perfectly clear: if that really happened, that's horrible. That would be a horrible thing to do to someone. But why even bring it up? Why go "oh, this one time this one person was very mean to me"? Especially when she knows her fans so well, and their tendency to go out for blood when someone dares not praise their Mother Monster. There's no way that she didn't know that her followers would absolutely tear Perez Hilton apart for this.
Still have the text Perez sent me of me in a wheelchair w the words KARMA written across + Madonna pointing a gun at me. Day of my accident— Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) August 16, 2013
A few minutes after that first tweet, she tweeted this followup:
Why? Seriously, can someone explain why she even brought this up to begin with? "Ignore this person that you weren't even thinking of before I said something," that's what she's doing right now. But wait till you see how Perez responded. It's kind of masterful:
Please monsters do not be affected by someone like this NOTHING merits this kind of hatred. Im ok & I always survive. Ignore him. Just Dance— Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) August 16, 2013
