Quotables: Robert Pattinson Is Kind of Rude to His Fans, But We're Not Mad (Just Disappointed)

"What's really weird about Twilight fans is that they're not really teenagers. Most of them are older. Twilight has its own fan culture that existed from day one. And in an intense way that didn't exist before. Sometimes I ask myself what these masses of people do the whole day. They sit in front of their computers and comment on anything having even remotely to do with Twilight."

--Robert Pattinson slams the people that made him famous. Sweet.

No, look, Robert Pattinson is usually pretty great. He's funny and charming, and he seems pretty sweet. But this is just ... why? Why do this? What's he achieving here? You look super cool, Rob, poking fun at the people who got you where you are today. Way to be, kid.

I don't blame him for dissing his Twilight fans. A couple of years back, he almost met his end at the front of a moving vehicle whilst trying to run across a street to flee a group of crazed fan girls.

TRUE BUT WHEN A FAN WANTS TO SAY HELLO HE SHOULD AT LEAST ACKNOWLEDGE
HE IS FILTHY RICH BECAUSE OF HIS FANS HE SHOULD BE A LITTLE BIT THANKFUL DONT YOU THINK?????

The suggestion that celebrities should acknowledge every fan that wants to say hello to them is ridiculous. If they did that for everyone they'd never be able to go out publicly or get anything done. He's far kinder to his fans than most celebrities are and always tries to spend as much time as possible with them at premieres (that is the only appropriate venue for fans to approach a celeb). He's had to put up with stalkers coming to his home and taking pictures of his trash because the insane Twilight fans don't seem to understand the concept of boundaries. Quite frankly if I were him I'd probably have much worse things to say. The only people who are offended by what he said are those who recognize themselves as one of the crazies, in which case they should take a time out from the internet and evaluate their life choices.
