Quotables: Alan Thicke is Deluded as His Son
"It's amazing. It's a rocket ride. I'm thrilled for him. I've always dabbled in music. If I could have grown up to be Robin Thicke, I would have. But I'm glad somebody in the family did. She has a great movie, "Baggage Claim," and is getting wonderful reviews for that. I told [Robin], 'You're a power couple now. If you only adopt a few Ethiopian kids, you'd be the next Brangelina.'"
--Alan Thicke discusses the success of his son, Robin Thicke, and his son's wife, Paula Patton, in a pretty darn strange way.
No, it's nice to be so proud of your children, even if your child is sleazy pop singer, I suppose. But "the next Brangelina," honestly? No. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie aren't perfect people, but at least neither of them have paraded naked women around in front of a gigantic sign that says "Robin Thicke Has A Big D---." Unlike some people.
Just something to think about, Alan, all right?
