Taylor Momsen's Going to Ruin a Good Night's Sleep for Somebody

10/18/2013 3:30 AM PDT, by Sarah Taylor

Just in time for Hallowen, it's a horror movie come to life: Taylor Momsen's Pretty Reckless video for "Going to Hell." I've got the creeps just typing that.

The video is chock-full of whited-out eyes, naked snake-writhing, and that really creepy twitching/abruptly fast moving thing that all the scary movies as of late are using in their video editing. Frightening on a good many levels. One thing is certain, though, on a more serious note -- even if this kind of music isn't your cup of tea (it's certainly not this girl's), you have to admit that Taylor Momsen can definitely sing her ass off.

And finally -- if none of that does it for you, then just watch the video for the Marilyn Manson-inspired music or the general nudity, because there's got to be something for everyone, right?

I love the creepy/horror music genre personally. And I like Taylor's edgy dark videos. I'm glad she is doing what SHE wants and likes and isn't caving in to that annoying 'hater' collective that she needs to clean up, change her style, stop wearing her eyeliner and become another cookie cutter pop singer for the lame masses.

I appreciate that she's playing real rock music, this is much better than the last record, but it's still kind of hackneyed and cliche. Rock is over, outside of new Nine Ich Nails, I haven't heard a rock record that really moved me.

I like Taylor. This song isn't really my thing, but I do like a few of her other songs and I think she has a great voice. It's raspy and unique. I think it's cool that she's sort of doing her own thing. She said she decided to quit acting and just do music, because that's what she loves... and I like that she just went into this sort of risky genre. She might end up returning to acting - you never know, but I like that she's just doing what she wants to do and doesn't seem in the business for the money..otherwise, she would have stuck with the acting thing. She looks great by the way - not too sleazy, but just enough sexy without being awkward or trying too hard.
