You Need to Mentally Prepare Yourself for All The Hilarity Kanye Is Bringing
Kanye West has been on fire lately with all his wacky interviews and adorable quotes, but today, you guys, we have such an impressive compilation of Kanyeisms, such a dazzling display of his newfound preciousness and his always inflated ego, that it's really just going to blow you away. Let's not waste one more moment before we get to the goods, OK? Because they are SO good.
Here's the part where Kanye thought it would be a good idea to compare Kim Kardashian to Michelle Obama:
"There's no way Kim Kardashian shouldn't be on the cover of Vogue. She's like the most intriguing woman right now. She's got Barbara Walters calling her like everyday. And collectively, we're the most influential with clothing. No one is looking at what [BarackObama] is wearing. Michelle Obama cannot Instagram a [bikini] pic like what my girl Instagrammed the other day."
And here's the part where he discusses why he's selling a shirt featuring the Confederate flag on his tour:
“React how you want. Any energy you got is good energy. I represented slavery, my abstract take on what I know about it, I wrote ‘New Slaves.’ So I took the Confederate flag and made it my flag. What are you going to do?”
OK, and now here's the part where he says that he's still sorry about the whole Taylor Swift thing, but North West would have handled the situation WAY better than Taylor, so it's really just whatever:
"You know what? I would not want some crazy drunk rock star cutting my daughter off also. But my daughter would 100-percent also be like, 'Yes Beyoncé did have the best video.' That's what my daughter would do!"
And, of course, the obligatory quote on Miley Cyrus:
“I just met her the day of the VMAs. I was just like, ‘Go, just go. Go for it. Do what you feel.’ From the DONDA perspective, I’d want her to twerk more. I think the whole performance should have been twerking.”
Guys, look: there will never be another human like Kanye West ever. So you really need to appreciate this, all right? Drink it in. Roll around in it. Embrace these wonderful, strange words, for they will bring you joy if you let them.
