The World Is Not Ready for A Single Courtney Stodden
Oh, friends ... remember when we all thought that the old Courtney Stodden, the one who was married to that gross Doug Hutchison, was a little bit outrageous? We haven't seen anything yet. Because last night, Courtney gave her very first interview as a single lady, and, as you can see, things are about to get wild.
Look at that body glitter, you guys. That's the amount of body glitter she thought was appropriate to wear to a big interview. What's going to happen when she decides to go out on her own, huntin' for a man? It's scary, isn't it?
But in addition to all the body glitter (which, seriously, is a little unbelievable), she also talked about how her marriage ended, which was basically because of "Big Brother":
"I missed him, but not intimately. I couldn't neglect my desires and wanting to embrace my independence and freedom. I was definitely scared but I think I felt more pressured and responsible. When we got married, he lost his family. His managers dropped him, his agent put a pin in his career, he lost his friends, and I became his world. I felt like there was a lot of weight on my shoulders."
When she was asked what specifically went wrong, she said "my age, obviously," which is actually really sad. But should we feel sad when Courtney doesn't?
"I am feeling good. Obviously any break-up is stressful. We've gone through quite a bit as of late, but I am feeling good."
There have also been some rumors going around that the divorce is for publicity, because why else would a marriage that began between a 16-year-old and a 51-year-old go awry? But, rest assured, that is not the case:
"I don't understand why we would do that right now, with how many people were against us. This isn't a stunt."
But for real though, she's happy:
"I am happy and I am excited. I feel like a little girl again. Just being able to start over. When I was 16, I got my marriage license instead of my driver's license. I had this new-found celebrity. I was a personality overnight."
Have fun, Courtney! Please avoid relationships with seedy older men, additional plastic surgery, and body glitter in the future. Other than that, we're excited for you, girl!
