Jim Carrey Burned Down Shia LaBeouf's House of Lies

1/13/2014 6:00 AM PST, by Sarah Taylor
Jim Carrey put the ultimate smackdown on Shia LaBeouf at last night's 2014 Golden Globe Awards, and it was so good that it even drove Shia out of his public retirement so that he could comment on what Carrey had to say.

While presenting "American Hustle" for Best Motion Picture, Carrey falsely attributed a quote to Shia, saying, "Dying is easy. Comedy is hard." He continued by saying, "I believe it was Shia LaBeouf who said that -- so young, so wise." The joke went over fairly well, but of course Shia -- who can't go a hot second without reading and examining his own press and then bellyaching about it and blocking certain media outlets AHEM on Twitter -- had to go and make some more of his standard nonsensical comments about Carrey's Golden Globes tribute: And honestly, who even knows what that means. It's not funny, it's not clever, and above all, it's not making any sense -- but what else would you expect from an asshat like Shia LaBeouf, really?

Shia, once again, plagiarized. His tweet is from an interview with Jim Carrey during the release of Man on the Moon. He was talking about Andy Kaufman: "If you explain Andy Kaufman, you've killed him," said Carrey earnestly. "The triumph of his life is that he beat death because he can't be explained. Nobody knows if it's for real or not. That way he's immortal. If I ever did win an Oscar, I wish he'd come up and grab it out of my hands."

Indeed, this tweet is plagiarised. I'm getting strong flashbacks to Joachim Phoenix's "I'm quitting acting and becoming a rapper" phase - in other words, I think this is some kind of marketing for an upcoming film about plagiarism, developed by Shia and Daniel Clowes.

I feel like Shia cant win, my advice to him IF I WERE HIS FRIEND OR MANAGER OR PARENT/ETC., would be to stop explaining how you feel. You are entitled to make mistakes and also to do good. People are always looking for a train wreck so, dont give them energy. Everyone wont agree with how you see the world. People are so obsessed with Fame they dont see there own FAULTS. JUdging Shia is like saying your perfect and NONE OF US ARE. Shia, live your LIFE and as long as you arent harming people physically, your fine. NO MAN has the right to make anyone feel who has done as much as you have in less than 30 years on earth made to feel like you are some bad person. Be positive and surround yourself with people who care for you and keep making comments on twitter. If thats what you want to do, do it. Hiding only makes them win Shia! You are a talented young man, stay FOCused! LGNM

*Snatching the soapbox from which Melvin Barcliff is spouting out convoluted dribble*

The issue is, Melvin, is that he IS hurting people. He's blatantly ripping off other people's blood, sweat, and tears. Creativity takes a lot to manifest, and blatantly stealing from people's creative process is the worst kind of theft. He deserves no accolades, and the backlash is appropriate.

Shia LaBeouf is the Justin Bieber of film, without the(and I use this term verrry loosely) talent. It will always and forever be, a shitty thing to do, but if he would take responsibility, and apologize appropriately, he could put this behind him. He refuses to be held accountable, and justly deserves the karmic shit-sandwich he's being forced to dine upon. The absolute worst part of it all, is that he thinks he's being clever, and SUCH a rebel, but really, he just needs to crawl back under the rock he came from. No one cares unless you're talented or pretty, and he is niether.

If LaBeouf promoted #AK4WWEHOF2014 he'd actually get more steam helping Andy Kaufman into the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame. It would help him so much with his rumored associations with Andy's Army.
The Double Special Comedy Show talks LIVE with fellow members Bob Pagani, Miss Ruby Tuesday and Curt Clendenin about it. As they say... #YESWWECAN
