This Better, Better, Better Not Be Real, Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner
Kylie Jenner has had lots and lots of fake, drawn-on Sharpie tattoos over the last few months, friends, but this one looks ... well, it looks kind of permanent. While it wouldn't be a big deal if it were, say, Kendall Jenner (who's 18), Kylie still is only 16 years old, and don't you think that's a little young to make a longer-term commitment like permanent ink on a very visible area of your arm? I sure do.

And hey! How about that one California Penal Code?

"According to California Penal Code 653, every person who tattoos or offers to tattoo a person under the age of 17 years is guilty of a misdemeanor. The Law States: 'No piercing of nipples or genitalia, branding, tattooing, or permanent cosmetics for a minor regardless of parental consent'."

Is it real? Well. That'll remain to be seen. But if it is, let's hope for her reputation's sake (?) and the reputation of her stellar (?) mother, that it really is only a Sharpie tatt.

I feel that it depends on the maturity and responsibility of any person as to whether or not they should have a tattoo. Now yes, technically this 16 year-old is a child and obviously some(or most)of the decisions should be made by her parents, if in fact this tattoo is real, and she did it without parental permission there will be consequences for her actions. If it was in fact done with her parents consent they might just have felt she was capable of handling it. I have a 16 1/2 year-old daughter and after months of discussion regarding the meaning, if there would be regret, and designing of something that was simple in design and not large my husband and I granted permission to our daughter to get a tattoo. We live in NY and as it is illegal to tattoo ANYONE under the age of 18 we traveled to NJ. I did extensive research to find a shop that was reputable and most importantly very, VERY clean and we were pleased by the professionalism. No one should jump to conclusions about a teenager getting a tattoo unless the whole backstory is known :)

Tattoos are just nasty. They look so un-natural. Like bruises that don't belong there.

I just heard an MSNBC that Kris Jenner is in negotiation with Vivid Video for Kylie and Kendall's first movie. They are also looking for male actors. Only those of African Heritage sporting an ANACONDA need apply....”

There are few filters in life as effective as a Tattoo. If you passed a law mandating that everyone stupid must be marked for easy identification there would be riots in the streets.

But take the same concept, mix in some Hollywood, a dash of street thug, and a smidgen of hip-hop mixed with with a long riff and you get a tattooed generation that is easily identified for the remainder of their lives. "It's art." "It's personal expression." "It's my life, my body, my canvas."

All correct. And its my silent prejudices judging you in silence along with millions of others who also judge you as beyond the pale.

No child of mine is going to get a tatoo while he or she is living in my house. If he/she thinks he/she is old enough to decide to go against my rules and get ink, he/she also knows that he/she is old enough to move out and get a place to live.

Somebody needs to have a long talk with this little girl before it's to late. Instead of her getting a tattoo she needs to worry about finishing school and going to the prom and the homecoming dance and the prom and getting good grades in in school. Going to college to become a lawyer are a doctor are something so she can be a productive adult. Maybe this child needs a menitor are to put. Her on the right path in life. Hell I am just saying buy the old saying birds of a feather flock together.
