Well, At Least You're Pretty, Katy Perry

Listen, you need to know that no matter what, Katy Perry is adorable and talented and just so incredibly lovable. She's smart enough to be one of the most successful pop stars ever, and she's smart enough to ditch John Mayer. But, bless her amazing little heart, she just can't figure out what feminism is.

If you'll remember, here's Katy's old stance on being a feminist:

“I am not a feminist, but I do believe in the strength of women.”

That doesn't really make sense, now does it? She might as well have said "I am not a feminist, but I do believe that women should have equal rights." But for some reason, lady celebrities are just so hesitant to call themselves feminists, like it's some big, bad, evil thing to be. Hint: it's not.

But Katy has changed her views, everybody, and now she is totally, for sure, 100% a feminist:

"I used to not really understand what that word meant but now that I do, it just means that I love myself as a female and I also love men. I am woman… Hear me roar!"

OK, honey. Sure. Good for you. Congratulations.

Feminism is just a union trying to get the best deal for women. If equality is the best deal, feminists work for that, if the old chivalrous way is the best deal for women, feminists keep their mouths shut.

This is the worst thing Katy Perry has ever said? Are you serious? Who the hell approves these articles? Who in the world sees that and says, "why, yes, this is exactly what people want to read"? Every time I click on a headline from TMZ for this site, I lose another brain cell :( :(

Perhaps the reason why so many women are hesitant to call themselves "feminists" is not because it's a "big, bad, evil thing"... it's because throngs of self-proclaimed and proud "feminists" will jump down your throat if you don't claim and repeat the exact definition of feminism that they expect. The terribly ironic part here is that feminists are too scared to say they are feminists because other "feminists" will attack them for "saying it wrong". Well... well, LIKE YOU, Emily Trainham!

You need to be careful who can read you webpages. Web traffic generates income, and the income from this headline has, without any doubt, been obtained under false pretences. This has now been classified as criminal fraud in several countries. Blatant lies in order to receive money is not exempted by "free-press", and "free-speech" laws.

Feminism has become a bad word because the radical, progressive man- hating, socialists, anti-life crazies have taken over the moment. First-wave feminism was truly about equal rights and they were Pro-Life. Second-wave is feminism is the version of feminism that woman today want to distance themselves from because it is hypocritical hateful and stupid.
