Nick Cannon: Offensive AND Annoying!

4/2/2014 4:00 PM PDT, by
So Nick Cannon's new album, "White People Party Music," came out yesterday, and he did the most infuriating interview ever to celebrate. How thoughtful of him, right? Yes, he really does have our best interests at heart. He really -- oh wait, what? He doesn't? He's an obnoxious douchebag who loves money and patting himself on the back and probably nothing else? Huh.

On his new album:

"I don’t really care if you buy my album or not, I’m still going to be rich."

On the title of his album:

"It was meant as a compliment. Because White people know how to have fun more than anybody. When you in the club with White people they turn all the way up. But obviously its satire [and] I’m just having fun. I don’t take myself seriously. I always tell people I could have named this album ‘Purple People Party Music’ but it would have been the same album. I knew the title would strike controversy and get people talking. [So] we just want everybody to embrace their inner-White person and have fun with it."

On people being offended by the title of his album:

"To the people who are offended and sensitive about it--- those aren't the people I’m trying to reach anyway and everybody else who understands my sense of humor sees that there is no malice intent involved. There is a huge difference between humor and hatred. I love the fact that people are having this conversation though because we do have differences."

Oh, Nick, and I love the fact that you come off like a spoiled little rich boy who's trying to be humorous but just coming up so, so short. I love that, too.

Are you really offended by this? Isn't Mr.Mariah Carey a comedian? Prominent black comedians have been making jokes about white people for as long as I can remember. Is there not, in reality, "White People Party Music", or for that matter "Black People Party Music" or party music peculiar to various races and ethnic groups? Is it because an album called "Black People Party Music" put out by, let's say, comedian/TV Host Jeff Foxworthy, would result in a firestorm of accusations of racism, that we have to get all uptight because of this?

Why are you, I or anyone else wasting time worrying and wondering and getting at all offended by this? I mean I know why I am. I'm waiting for the cat to finish using the litter box so I can clean it out.

But what's your deal?

I've never heard of Nick Cannon being a "comedian." When he talked about it a couple of days ago, he came across as arrogant and clueless. I didn't really care about the actual whiteface (although there is a double standard)...what bothered me was his tweet referring to all whites as "privileged," which he did not address. He's just an ignorant dumbass.
