Rihanna Is Officially a Terrible Person
By now, most of you have probably heard the sad, sordid tale of #PromBat: the 16-year-old girl who idolized Rihanna and wore an outfit inspired by her to prom. The 16-year-old girl who rocked the stupid pantsuit that Rihanna wore in the first place, and instead of just feeling good about herself, got mocked on Twitter by hundreds of people, and also by Rihanna herself. It's pretty awful, guys. But that 16-year-old girl, who's name is Alexis Carter, is capitalizing on all those hateful people, and now everyone is talking about her. So there.
Just to be clear, Alexis' outfit is exactly like what Rihanna wore to a 2010 awards show. It is not any different. At all. Rihanna decided to wear that same exact thing. But somehow, the photos of Alexis went viral, and Rihanna decided to get in on the meanness, tweeting one of her photos with just a frowny face, and then tweeting a photo comparing Alexis' pose to the Wu-Tang clan logo. She also retweeted someone who said "The Dark Thot Rises." Do you know what "thot" means? According to Urban Dictionary, related words include "slut," "whore," "b----," "ugly," and "nasty." Hilarious words to say about a 16-year-old girl, right?
But here's what Alexis had to say:
"I was astonished that she would do something like that. She's a grown woman and she bashed me. I thought she would praise it. For someone who claims to love her fans, this sure doesn't show it. I picked that outfit because my idol had worn it. I loved her ... I threw all her CDs in the trash."
And you know, right on, Alexis. It really is astonishing that Rihanna would act like that, especially when she wore the exact same outfit. It's just stupid behavior, and it's kind of ridiculous that some random teenager showed more class over a brief Twitter scandal than Rihanna has shown in her entire career.
