“For me, the issue of feminism is just not an interesting concept. I’m more interested in, you know, SpaceX and Tesla, what’s going to happen with our intergalactic possibilities. Whenever people bring up feminism, I’m like, god. I’m just not really that interested. ... “My idea of a true feminist is a woman who feels free enough to do whatever she wants."

--The illustrious (no, really -- this chick is truly smart and talented and lovely) Lana Del Rey on the unimportance of feminism in her life, and Lana makes a fair point. If she's interested in topics that she, herself, believes transcend other issues -- like feminism -- then that's her prerogative. Isn't one of the fundamentals of feminism the allowance to determine what a woman believes to be of importance in her own life?

You might not agree with Lana's stance on feminism -- from a personal standpoint, I can appreciate the things that trump feminism from Lana's perspective, but womens' rights are more of a priority to me. However, despite the fact that my views don't necessarily align flush with that of Lana's doesn't mean that we, as women, can't cover all the bases ourselves by concerning ourselves with a variety of social issues collectively.

You do you, Lana -- you're real good at it.

I really don't think this generation understands the idea of feminism. Also, her p***y tastes like Pepsi Cola, unless she was lying in her song.

Lana Del Rey better thank her lucky stars that women before her cared more about the issue of feminism so that she can feel free enough to do whatever she wants.

Why do people constantly comment on feminism when they don't even know what it means? It's not just about women's rights, it's about equal rights for everyone, which I'm pretty sure most people can get behind.

I don't know where you get the idea that she's "truly smart, talented, and lovely." She's average-looking, sounds like Dory from Finding Nemo attempting to speak whale when she sings, and reads like a vapid idiot when she's quoted. The only reason she has a musical career is because her father bought one for her, and the only reason she has a fan base is because people are very, very dumb.

But by all means, let's pretend she's a genius when she's dropping gems like, "Um, feminism is, like, totally boring. I'd rather think about, y'know, space stuff. And junk."
