This is the Post in Which We Do Not Mock the Duggars

Here it is, the moment Jill Duggar and her now-husband were waiting for basically ever since they discovered this thing called "mutual attraction" and "hormones," Jill Duggar's wedding! Doesn't she look beautiful and pure and untouched?

See, the thing is, we admire Jill and her man. They courted and dated and wedding-planned all of this, and if you want to go on their word, without any kind of sexual -- or even "friendly" -- behavior aside from maybe some hand-holding. It's sweet, and religious connotations aside, one might begin to wonder what society at large would be like if all relationships were like this. Would there be less divorce? Less promiscuity? Less drama, heartbreak, and STDs? Less ... well, less things to talk about on celebrity gossip blogs? Likely 'yes' on all those things, but unfortunately, we can't imagine what a world would be like where the majority of its occupants were abstinent 'til marriage, and it actually is kind of sad when you get down to it.

Sexlessness before commitment -- novel concept, huh?

Congratulations, Duggars -- you guys did it (in every way possible, heh heh).

Man, Sarah, what do you have against the Duggars? Jealous much? It's not the Duggars' fault that you're probably c*m storage for men.

Another lame and horribly written article by Sarah. Go figure.

Aren't these the morons often pictured holding automatic weapons and otherwise glorifying gun violence? Yeah -- role models. Wonderful.

She claims ( Jill Dugger) that this guy is a really good kisser. My question - if this was her very first kiss by any guy - how would she know a good kiss from a bad kiss?

Why would you ever mock them?

Even though I don't agree with all of the Duggars convictions, I am glad to see young couples who display morality, character, and self-control. Unfortunately, this is not the norm in our culture today, and where has that taken us a a society? We idolize people in sports and entertainment who have very little morals, questionable character, and no self-control. Our culture is in a downward spiral of "anything goes", and "whatever makes me feel good, I'm doing it". I am glad to see families like the Duggars, who train their kids to have morals and values that really matter in life, not a self-absorbed, self-gratification, and self-focused lifestyle that is all around us. Good for them!!!

I think it is a beautiful love story. I think the entire family has been taught morals, decency, and respect. They are kind to each other, and all help when needed. GOOD FOR THEM that they practiced abstinence till marriage. Isn't that what God expects? They treated their bodies like it was intended --- the temple of God. I admire the new couple and wish them well.

What was this article even about?

Instead of mocking them, why not take a look at what would be different if people waited until marriage to have sex. No more unwed teen mothers, drastic reduction of sexually transmitted infections, reduction in welfare recipients, children would have both parents, maybe a better society overall. There are several more I can think of that might happen but what do others think? Post what you can think might be a possible result of people waiting till marriage.

What's REALLY sad is your mocking people who actually do things right-- it's a little something some of us like to call "having morals." Meanwhile you're praising and idolizing reckless and dangerous behavior every day. No wonder our society has gone down the toilet.

Please don't be fooled by this wedding and couple. Nice, sweet yes, but brother Josh and parents are part of a lobby in Washington DC than wants to deny people of their civil rights (primarily women and gays)...They are anti-contraceptive, anti-abortion, anti-marriage equality, anti Roe V. Wade and they have given their time and money to politicians who want to change laws that deny millions of people basic civil rights. Look up Family Research Council and see the politics of their religion trying to exclude and persecute millions...The women are subservient in the house and are only taught to be wives and mothers - they have a marginal education, no genuine belief in science and their children know no one other than their family and those like them. Look up blanket training, Quiverfull cult and Bill Gothard to find out more - it is well documented and well known this family practices cult like indoctrination behind the disguise of religion - happy and sweet and caring on tv, but in real life they have a agenda, a serious agenda of bigotry (they of course won't call it that...).

Just saying.

At least these two show respect for themselves and others. Unlike some people in Hollywood I could mention.

They are what they are. They're at least Christian and if they want to live their life that way its fine. I'd rather read articles about them than anything else on the Kardashians. So they're weird and religious. In the grand scheme of things they're not bad people just not like everyone else.

Do I agree with their ways? Nope. Not at all. But I RESPECT their right to their religious beliefs.

Newsflash Sarah. They're not wrong just because YOU don't agree with them. You think FAR too highly of yourself.

I wish them the best. Will be interesting how long the marriage lasts.

Ya think he kissed her where she pees, or is that not Christian and ladylike?

Yeah, and wouldn't it be a shame if on their wedding night Jill's husband discovered that he prefers sex with the "men folk", and Jill discovered she is as frigid as an icebox. Oh well, they'll be too busy pumping out babies year after year to be concerned with those minor inconveniences. True love waits. And then is bitterly disappointed. DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! LOL
