Quotables: Katherine Heigl Still Just Really Doesn't Get It
"The thing that was my best friend for a long time suddenly turned on me. And I didn't expect it. I was taken by surprise and angry at it for betraying me. ... I had an amazing time. I love romantic comedies. But maybe I hit it a little too hard. I couldn't say no. ... I stopped challenging myself. It became a bit by rote and, as a creative person, that can wear you down. That was part of why I took that time off, to ask myself, 'What do I want? What am I looking for?' and shut down all the noise."
--Katherine Heigl, America's Never Sweetheart because she was such an annoying, pompous, undertalented ass who felt a sense of entitlement basically everywhere she went because "Grey's Anatomy," on what it was like when her career turned its fickle back on her.
Yeah, she took a little, tiny iota of blame there when she said "I stopped challenging myself," but that's almost like apologizing to someone you hurt by saying, "I'm sorry your feelings were hurt because your feelings are too sensitive," but that's what we've come to know and love about Katty Heigl here.
Worry not, though, y'all: Katherine claims to have a "Hollywood animal" inside of her, and she's not talking about having slept with Colin Farrell or Gerard Butler -- she's got a new show called "State of Affairs" coming this fall, and before you go screaming "Why why why!" into the night, let it be said that the show looks OK ... but only because of everyone else in the cast, and not because Katherine Heigl has a gold touch when it comes to acting, to say the least.
