Quotables: Ed Sheeran Needs to Check Himself

7/11/2014 1:00 PM PDT, by
"Beyoncé controls all women. Beyoncé owns women around the world. Beyoncé just has this thing, women want to be her. They want to think like her. They want to do the things that she does. When that album dropped, you realized how many of your mates are Beyoncé fans because I had a house party the day that it dropped—and I didn't know it was dropping, obviously all the women did—and all of the women locked themselves in a room with big speakers and listened to the album all the way through. There were about 16 of them. And the guys were just there drinking beer playing pool we just didn't know what was going on so we went in and they were just there [singing] 'Drunk in Love'!"

--Ed Sheeran incorrectly states that Beyonce controls all women, still manages to be completely adorable.

OK, this is just wrong. It's a wrong sentiment anyway, the idea that every single woman loves Beyonce, but the way he said it makes it even more terrible. Because no, no she does not control or own all women. There are plenty of women who don't like Beyonce, and there are plenty more who don't even care. There are probably women in this world who haven't even heard of Beyonce. And, last I checked, a person can't own another person, and do we really have to delve any deeper into that part?

You're sweet, Ed, you really are, but Beyonce's reign is just about over. So try again, all right, honey?

I don't like Beyonce I think she's an imbecile. I now think he's an imbecile. I'd rather eat Sh*T than be either one of them.

i personally think ever since she dropped that album my respect for her as a women is lost. She became a Miley Cyrus and completely made herself be disgusting to look at, acting like a single desperate women.

Whoever wrote this piece of shit is a damn idiot. Beyonce's reign is not over and it's not gonna be over for a very LONG time. Get your facts, haing bitch! If YOU don't like her, that's fine. However, don't you EVER dare say Beyonce is not all that. Sip on your haterade and shut the fuck up.

Are you serious? Do you actually think Ed meant it literally? It does not take a genius to
realize that what the prolific Mr. Sheeran was trying to say is that Queen Bey is the ONE, that she is in charge of her life and that she has got it going on in ways that may take a while for some to understand. Her talent grows by the day - she is a true artist - forever changing, evolving into someone that many women and men can appreciate.
Rule the world? Didn't Madonna say that's what she wanted to do? Rule the World?
Well, B never said that, but her actions are giving many to pause and think. I got you Ed - I know exactly what you meant!
